An exciting opportunity to be exposed to the commercial demands of a busy Procurement Department within a major Blue Chip Corporation.
You will be introducted to the many facets of the role with the support of existing team members and management.
You need to be confident, able to be decisive, liaise with all levels of senior management and the ability to resolve issues by taking ownship. We have a detailed specification but these are a few of the duties that will be involved
The role is responsible for reviewing incoming requisitions raised in Oracle, determining the appropriate course of action and, most often, undertaking a tactical purchase including liaison with business users, identification of potential sources of supply, obtaining and evaluating quotations and awarding purchase orders. Sometimes requirements will need to be rejected or rerouted for action by the Category Sourcing teams.
Developing & maintaining an understanding of the full scope of available Procurement solutions / content including framework agreements, catalogues, service catalogues and Preferred Supplier Lists
This understanding is developed in conjunction with the Category Sourcing teams and the content that they make available to Procurement Operations for execution.
Essential:
Customer service – Able to develop good business relationships with Users
German language is desirable but not essential
