Our client a business trade distributor is looking for a Lighting Technical Internal Sales & Customer Development

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Lighting experience to get into a Technical Internal Sales role with a company that offers opportunity and training.

As part of the sales team your expertise will be required to help support colleagues and customers with their technical requirements. Being office based you will be communicating with customers via the phone and email with occasional face-face meetings with customers at our office or exhibitions. Capable of managing your own work, achieving yours and the collect companies’ goals

Key responsibilities

Dealing with incoming telephone, mail and other sales enquiries

Giving technical advice

Adding value to sales enquiries by “selling up”

Responsible for own sales order processing and back-orders

Regular contact with existing customers

Occasionally dealing with visiting customers

Maintenance of sales database

Support after-sales issues

Identify product and sales opportunities

Deal with new sales enquiries, customers and referrals from suppliers

Attend meetings as required

 

Knowledge required

Understand the different types of luminaires

What is a generic and intelligent lighting fixture

Know the difference between wash, spot, beam and hybrid moving heads

Explain how DMX works

What is analogue and how it works

Aware of LED, tungsten and discharge fixtures

Understand ArtNet and explain wiring format

Knowing which lighting console is suitable for which application

 

Essential Skills and Competencies

Must have knowledge or qualifications or experience in the field of professional and or commercial lighting

Ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues

Focussing on individual and company sales targets

Good communicator and numerate

Manage own time

Computer literate in MS Office

Used a CRM

Self-motivated and can-do attitude

 

Benefits

Salary 25k – 30k DOE plus Team bonus as sales targets are surpassed

Hours

Mon – Thursday 8.30am to 5.30pm (1 hr lunch)

Friday 8.30am – 5.00pm (30 mins lunch
